A wild night in Las Vegas has the CSIs simultaneously investigating four fatalities.Greg Sanders’ first day in the field has him assisting Grissom’s investigation of a fatal nightclub shooting. Meanwhile, Catherine probes into the death of a stripper found in a Las Vegas hotel suite. Across town, Warrick is called to an apartment building to investigate possible foul play in the death of a man found electrocuted in his bathtub. Lastly, Nick and Sara investigate a body found buried wearing an alien costume near Area 51. Back in the lab, Greg Sanders’ replacement, Chandra, is overwhelmed by the fast-paced world of the CSIs.
02. Down the Drain Thursday October 7th, 2004
Heavy rain in Las Vegas causes the CSI team to investigate the demise of victims found in the sewage drains.When Grissom and his team investigate the apparent murder of a man found in a storm sewer, Catherine and Warrick find themselves searching for clues in the storm drain tunnel, where they learn that this may not be a murder after all. Meanwhile, across town, sanitation workers stumble upon human bones also found in the drain. Through further investigation, Catherine, Warrick and Grissom identify the victim and but now need to follow the trail to find the killer.
03. Harvest Thursday October 14th, 2004
The CSI team investigates the kidnapping of a young girl.The city is on “Amber” alert while the CSIs race against the clock, searching for a missing girl. Meanwhile, Catherine struggles with being a single parent to her rebellious daughter, who is the same age of the missing victim, and Greg may have finally found a worthy replacement in Mia Dickerson (Aisha Tyler).
04. Crow’s Feet Thursday October 21st, 2004
Catherine and Nick delve into the dark world of hazardous cosmetic procedures to keep people looking young, while Grissom, Sara and Greg investigate a man found dead in a house tented for termites.Catherine is called to the scene of an apparent death from Ebola, but the autopsy reveals the lesions on the female victim’s skin are from cosmetic surgery. After a second female victim is found dead with similar indicators, Catherine and Nick discover that both women have recently undergone an anti-aging treatment from a plastic surgeon. Meanwhile, Grissom, Sara and Greg investigate a homeowner found dead inside his tented house post-fumigation.
05. Swap Meet Thursday October 28th, 2004
The CSI team investigates a suburban murder with a sexual twist.The CSI team investigates a murder victim found floating in a gated community fountain after attending a neighborhood swingers party. The evidence reveals that the victim had sex with multiple partners, which helps the CSIs track down the crime scene to a neighbor’s backyard. Meanwhile, Warrick and Nick investigate the bloody murder of a video arcade landlord. Also, Catherine justifies why she is a good candidate to be the supervisor on the day shift.
06. What’s Eating Gil Grissom? Thursday November 4th, 2004
Grissom is haunted by the return of the blue paint serial killer that got away two years ago.As the CSI team investigates the multiple murders on the WLVU college campus, they realize that the murders took place on the two-year anniversary of the execution of John Mathers, a man found guilty of murdering a woman in the same manner as these new victims at this college campus. The main clue tying four murders together is the blue paint found on all the victims’ hands. The killer fooled the CSI team two years ago, when another murder took place the night of John Mathers’ execution, and Grissom and team are determined to not let that happen again.
07. Formalities Thursday November 11th, 2004
Grissom works with a new CSI from the dayshift on an apparent kidnapping from a high school formal held at a Vegas casino.Grissom abruptly leaves a dinner honoring Conrad Ecklie’s (Marc Vann) appointment to new Assistant Director of the Crime Lab after he gets an urgent page to rush across the street to a hotel suite where a high school student was found dead. Dayshift CSI Sofia Curtis (Lombard) assists Grissom with the case. The autopsy reveals that the victim died of suffocation after one of her classmates was kidnapped from the party. The CSI team now races to find the kidnapped victim before she is found dead, too.

A murder investigation leads the CSI team to explore the world of trangenders, which turns into the ultimate case of mistaken identity.
09. Mea Culpa Thursday November 25th, 2004
An undetected piece of evidence in an old murder case has the graveyard shift under internal investigation.After a murder trial is reopened to explore new forensic evidence, Grissom discovers a previously undetected fingerprint on a piece of evidence during his cross-examination. This oversight is an opportunity for new assistant lab director Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) to put Grissom and his nightshift team under the microscope.
10. No Humans Involved Thursday December 9th, 2004
Tension rises as the CSI teams adjust to their new assignments while investigating two vastly different murders.Grissom and his team hunt for a killer after discovering the remains of a young boy starved to death and left in a plastic container. Meanwhile, Catherine assumes her new role as supervisor and quickly finds herself at odds with Warrick when he takes an overly aggressive approach in an investigation involving possible police brutality.
11. Who Shot Sherlock Holmes? Thursday January 6th, 2005
A Sherlock Holmes enthusiast is murdered in his perfectly re-created, Victorian-era, Baker Street study, and the CSI team needs to find the killer.
12. Snakes Thursday January 13th, 2005
When a dead baby rattlesnake is found in the throat of a decapitated female head, the CSIs are thrust into the dangerous world of narcocorrido, a Mexican music/lifestyle underworld that glamorizes violence and brutality. Meanwhile, a body is found in the front seat of a handicapped van in a casino parking structure where Sofia and Greg find evidence that the shooter may have been confined to a wheelchair.
13. Nesting Dolls Thursday February 3rd, 2005
The CSIs discover two female corpses that turn out to be part of an undercover Russian mail-order bride operation.When two female corpses are uncovered in a new housing development construction area, the CSIs are led into the world of Russian mail-order brides, where young women get work visas and come to America hoping to land a man who will marry them and give them citizenship. Meanwhile, Sara is reprimanded by Ecklie for an inappropriate comment and ends up opening up to Grissom about her long-held family secret.
14. Unbearable Thursday February 10th, 2005
The CSIs suspect third party involvement in the murder of a hunter and a bear found in the outskirts of Las Vegas.When a Kodiak bear is found dead with its gall bladder carefully removed and the hunter lying dead nearby, the evidence suggests another person was involved in the murders. Meanwhile, a young wife/mother is found dead after a night out with girlfriends, and the evidence suggests foul play from her seemingly perfect husband.
15. King Baby Thursday February 17th, 2005
Grissom and Catherine’s teams work together to discover the truth behind the death of a larger-than-life casino owner.When Bruce Eiger, a well-known casino owner, is found lifeless and stripped of clothing in his driveway by his wife, Donna (Malick), the CSI teams join forces to find the cause of death. Evidence leads them from a furnished adult nursery into the bizarre world of infantilism: men who wear diapers and love to be coddled.
16. Big Middle Thursday February 24th, 2005
The CSIs search for a murderer at a convention for overweight adults.When the evidence suggests the victim died from asphyxia due to a large object on his chest, Grissom and his team track the killer to an APAPSP convention, “Association to Promote Acceptance of Plus-Sized People.” Meanwhile, a large sum of cash and betting slips are found near a dead body on the outskirts of Vegas, leading Catherine’s team into the world of high-stakes gambling.

Grissom and his team use new technology to process a fingerprint from an old crime scene while they investigate a serial killer.When a serial killer strikes again, the CSIs dig up evidence from a prior killing in the hopes of using new technology to make a match. The fingerprint is linked to Jesse Acheson (Baldwin), who becomes the prime suspect in the case. Meanwhile, when a teen boy is found dead in his bedroom, the Las Vegas Police Department elicits a confession from his brother, but the evidence leads the CSIs in another direction.

A woman’s suicide in the Vegas wilderness is linked through evidence to the murder of a suburban family.Grissom discovers a connection between the fiery suicide of a woman in the Vegas wilderness and the slaughter of an entire family in a suburban home. The evidence exposes a couple’s infidelity, as well as the unthinkable results of one woman’s desperate attempt to get pregnant.

A wild day in Las Vegas has the CSIs simultaneously investigating four fatalities.Catherine and Warrick look into the death of an auto convention model found murdered in a camper on display, as Nick examines the death of a boy found beaten and burned on a bus bench outside a mini-mall. Across town, the investigation into a car accident leads Grissom to suspect the driver was aiming at his victim, and Greg and Sara discover that toxic mold has eaten away at a body builder from the inside out.

Meanwhile, Catherine and her team look into the death of young man whose body was found in a crop circle and shows no outward or inward signs of what killed him.

The man Catherine flirts with at a bar comes back into her life as a suspect in a murder investigation.After a tough day on the job, Catherine heads to a bar to unwind and has a brief romantic encounter with a stranger, Adam Novak (Rosenberg). When a woman from the same bar turns up dead later that night, evidence points to Novak as the lead suspect in the murder investigation. Friction arises between Grissom and Catherine when she fails to disclose her knowledge of the suspect. Meanwhile, Mia deals with cross contamination of evidence in the DNA lab.
